For this paper, the requirements are to write a clear thesis essay connecting the philosophy of therapy in a meaningful way with the proverbial real world. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the main philosophers and their theories to decide the most efficient techniques for counseling your patients, as a therapist.
The first and main philosopher that will be used is Marx and his theory, Marxism, in which you will incorporate his philosophical ideas on the relationship between the social classes, more specifically, the capitalists and the working class, to figure out the most significant ways to counsel people in the world of therapy.
The goal of this paper is to try to be as thoughtful and descriptive with correlating major philosophical ideas into examining how they may be used in therapy.
The sources that will be used in this essay are the textbook, Donald Palmer, Looking at Philosophy; The Unbearable Heaviness of Philosophy Made Lighter, sixth edition (McGraw Hill: New York), 2013, which is a required source, and two other accessible websites.
Prefer websites to be reliable sources and not popular websites. Please remember to include APA style citations throughout the entire essay. Make sure to cite the textbook at least 2-3 times. In addition, be sure to put headings for the sections of the body paragraphs. The conclusion paragraph for this paper must be a strong paragraph that restates your position for your thesis.
Also, in total, there MUST be at least 4 major philosophers included in this paper, with Marx being the first philosopher to start the essay. You can begin discussing his major philosophical ideas in the introduction paragraph if it is easier.
